We were pleasantly surprised. We have never been to a Chicken Chef and we were adventuring and had lunch here. We had the chicken burger. It was great! The food was great and our waitress was amazing.
My family and I visited Chicken Chef August 4,2018 and were more then disappointed. First off the floor was absolutely disgusting it looked like they had not vacuumed in a couple days. It is not pleasant to see old food all over the floor when you are trying to enjoy your meal. It wasnt just one area too it was everywhere. The food was okay but not great. Then our waitress didnt even take our plates after we were done eating. Dont think we will be going back as all I can picture is the disgusting floor.
Our favorite place to stop in whenever we are going to the lake.The staff are USUALLY helpful and friendly. Sometimes they are just too busy. I have worked in a restaurant for many years, and I know this is not always their fault. The food is good. They have my husbands favorite chicken. The owner is also very nice.
Disgusting food and terrible service. As a visitor to this area go anywhere but here.KyleI dont know what I did but for some reason the older larger lady that started serving me seemed to be upset with me and half way through a younger lady took over. I ordered the Denver sandwich and onion rings. The younger lady told me that for $9 and change I could get the sandwich and two sides. She said if I just wanted the onion rings they would give me a discount for not ordering a second side. The Denver sandwich filling was good but they burnt the toast, which I hate and I didnt have time to reorder. The onions rings were way to greasy and a lot of them were stuck together. When I went to pay the young lady charged me for the sandwich and onion rings separately which came up to $9+ and I asked her why is it rung up like that and what happened to my discount because I only ordered one side. She started making up a story and Im not wasting my time arguing over a couple $. I cant remember the last time I never left a tip. The Subway across the street wouldve been a much better choice.
Really enjoy visiting this restaurant. The recent addition of a lounge and patio as well as licensing the restaurant has been a huge plus. A quiet little family restaurant where you can order a beer or drink along with your pizza or burger. They know what they are good at, and I would recommend sticking to it. Chicken, pizza, and burgers are their bread and butter and they have fantastic options for all 3. Definitely the best fried chicken I have ever had. Their other options (I.e. Salisbury steak, veal, shrimp, etc.) are good, but not anything to write home about.Staff and generally friendly, and the prices are on the lower side of what is available in the area.I would definitely recommend, and if you visit during the summer, enjoy the cute little patio!
